Thank you for visiting our website!

Welcome to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Bound Brook, we are a diverse and loving group of Episcopalians from around the corner, and around the world. Some of us come from as faraway as Nigeria, India, Jamaica and even a few come from Brooklyn. But most of us are from Middlesex, Somerset and Hunterdon counties.

We are a congregation committed to reaching out to others in this bruised and battered world in the spirit of Jesus Christ. As Christ touched others and allowed others to touch him so we are called forth beyond our church doors. We reach out not as a duty but in the spirit of joy and thankfulness for all that we have been given. We have been greatly blessed and strive to be a blessing to others.

At the parish level, we have a weekly program of feeding others called Lunch On Us that has been part of our congregational life for over twenty five years. Our worship on Sundays is at 8AM in the Rite I traditional style from the Book of Common Prayer. The 10AM service is in the Rite II style. We are a welcoming and inclusive community. Come visit and See!

Attached please find a weekly message from The Rev. Gerald Skillicorn.

Hi!   As the priest who will be filling in on Sundays, at least until the end of the year, I thought it might be helpful in this time of preparation for a new Rector to provide a weekly thought to ponder.  Each week you will receive a short "Thought for the week" about who we are as a parish and what we are called to be.  I hope these will be helpful to you.    The Rev. Gerald Skillicorn

Thought for the Week:     The Psalmist wrote: "I rejoiced when they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord'" (122:1)

Obviously, in the psalmist's mind, worshiping God is a delight, not a duty.  The opportunity to join with the community of faith as well as the angels and archangels and all the company of heaven in the praise of God for the wonders of his love is truly a joyful experience.  According to Julian of Norwich, one of our Anglican spiritual giants, the joy is reciprocal: "For we are his (God's) bliss, because he endlessly delights in us and with his grace shall we delight in him"  (Showings, Chapter 23).  How fortunate we are that we have the freedom and the opportunity to gather Sunday after Sunday and share that joy with one another.  Fr. Skillicorn
